The annual meeting of English Language Education Study Program Association, Indonesia

Asosiasi Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (APSPBI) is an institutional association which covers professional fields, academics, educations and English language. First established on 17th April 2015 in Indonesia, it becomes a forum for the English Language Education Study Program and its instructors to cooperate each other in an effort to improve the quality of English education program in Indonesia as well as the human resources in it through various activities. Organizing seminars, workshops, joint research scientific publications, comparative studies, expert lectures, and community safety programs are some of the activities carried out by APSPBI. The members of Asosiasi Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (APSPBI) consist of institutional and individual members. Any English education study programs (Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris) in Indonesia are eligible to be the institutional members of APSPBI. Teaching staffs in the study programs are also be able to apply for individual membership. 

APSPBI Mission Statement:

  1. To facilitate collaborative act between association members’ study programs, and academic societies.
  2. To facilitate collaborative act between association members’ study programs and the government.
  3. To speed up socializations of official regulations and relevant responses

APSPBI Purposes/Objectives:

  1. To facilitate events related to the design and the implementation of Tri Dharma of Higher Education: research, teaching, and community service;
  2. To encourage improvement in the quality of various activities related to accreditation standard improvement;
  3. Encourage the improvement of the quality of various activities related to the acceleration of the socialization of official regulations and the relevant responses.

APSPBI Programs:

  1. To organize academic and professional meetings, such as national and international seminars and cooperation;
  2. To facilitate interest groups within the scope of English language education and English teacher education for instance to be superior in terms of the assessment and teaching practices in a personal, social and institutional manners;
  3. To conduct coordination in terms of official regulations and practices to achieve accreditation standards;
  4. To conduct coordination in terms of institutional careers and staff improvement.
